Lee Friedlander is an american photographer born in Washington on July 14tg 1934. He studied photography at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California at the age of 18. Friedlander primarly worked with black-and-white film and took the every day urban life as his main subjects. This ranges from  storefronts, posters, structures, and general urban life. He has, however, multiple self-portraits and are primairly reflections of himself in mirrors and the like as seen in the following pictures.

In this picture, we see Friedlander's reflection
in the mirror of a car. He not only captures himself but also the surrounding environment, notably a church and a string of lights.

In this self-portrait, we find once more Friedlander's
reflection in what seems to be a mirror on a wall
while he is using his own body to create a shadow
of himself. If looked at differently, it could seem
like this is a mirror being held by the silhouette
of a woman.
